Globalization

Globalization has effected our society so much in the past few years. Our world is becoming more dependent on technology. Freedman has explained this very well in the video that our society began as “vertical” but has been changing to become “horizontal”. The 10 flatteners has helped with this transition to happen. the 10 flatteners were made so the system of goods and information can be transferred easier. Technology has become such a useful tool and it has developed so much.

Population or Own Freedom

In China, they are only allowed one child if they have more than one child they will be punished for their actions. I believe that people all of the world should have the ability to make their own choice on whether they want to have a big or small family. The society shouldn’t make that choice for that couple. I think it’s important to have your own freedom.

Climate vs. weather

People are usually confused or don’t understand the difference between the weather and the climate. The weather is a condition in the atmosphere in one place during a short period of time. For example, if it was raining or sunny, this would be considered the weather. The climate is just the term for the weather patterns that a place usually experiences over a long period of time. For example, the climate in the desert would be dry and hot.

The similarity and difference between the globe and map

There are differences and similarities between a globe and the map. The differences are that a globe is a three dimensional representation of the earth. That means that a globe is the shape of a sphere, just like earth. On the other hand a map is a two dimensional representation of all or parts of the planet. With a map you can get a magnified picture of a continent, countries, states, cities, towns, and streets. The similarities between a globe and a map are that both are models of the earth and help people to find places in the world. 

Globe vs. Maps

The difference between a globe and a map is that a globe is a 3D model of the Earth and a map is a 2D model of the Earth. The globe is a lot more detailed than a flat map. But a flat map is very convenient when it comes to finding a certain place.
